楠ワイナリー　

仙台の友人から一冊の本が送られてきた。
「河北新報のいちばん長い日」。
どこかで聞いたことのあるような題名だと
思いながらページをめくり始めた。
抑揚を抑えた文章で淡々とつづられる
3月11日以降の新聞社の格闘の日々。
行間に込められた思いに
止まらなくなる。

あの日の映像や、6月に尋ねた女川の光景が
鮮やかに思い出されてくる。

あの日以降、みんな闘っているのだ。ついつい
忘れがちになってしまうし、他人事の様に思えて
しまうが、そうではないのだ。
状況は変ってきているが
やはり何か出来ることは、今やらなければと
改めて思う。　

A friend of mine in Sendai sent me a book titled
The longest day of Kahoku Shinpo News Paper.
The title sounds like the one I heard somewhere before
but my fingers turning pages hardly stopped with the
true story (I believe) written in each page and in
between the lines.

Itt reminds me of the scenes I saw on the TV on March 11
and those I actually saw in Onagawa last June.

It is the fact that all the people have been fighting since that day which I
often forget in everyday life. And I find myself becoming more indifferent
in what has been happening. That is not right.

I think there are something I can do and that I have to do now.

雪はほとんどありません。

綺麗なんだろうな。

here so please come and visit this magnificient
doll display.

１）2月10日（金）午後7時より須坂の n-styleにて
鬼無里（きなさ）のいろは堂のおやきとワインのマリアージュ。
いろは堂のおやきは、そば粉を使った生地にボリュームたっぷりの
中身が特徴。カフェでは北欧テイストの食器やディスプレイが。
今回は、ワインとのコラボということでどんなおやきが用意されるか
楽しみ。楠ワイナリーの各種ワイン。意外な組み合わせかはたまた
合って当然か？

２）2月11日（土）バルーンマーケット・カフェにて
昨年に続いてバルーンマーケット・カフェとなって
2回目のワイン会。カジュアルな料理とカジュアルに
合わせる楠ワイナリーのワイン。須坂のワインの多機能性
に注目。

Second wine tasting session since last year after the shop
changed its location. Here Kusunoki wines meet casual
cuisines in casual way. You will find the quality and the
versatility of the locally grown wines.

写真と俳句コラボ作品の全国選手権が
須坂で行われます。信濃毎日新聞社主催。
全国からの事前作品募集と、
大会日当日（10月13日、14日）須坂で撮影
した写真に俳句を添えた作品募集・審査が
行われます。来たれ全国のデジタル吟遊俳句人達。

ちなみに去年は軽井沢が主会場で、グランプリは
須坂の美術館勤務の方だそうです。

Japan Photo x Haiku Championship will be held
in Suzaka sponsored by Shinano-Mainichi Shinbun
Newspaper this autumn. It is a selection of the
art works made by the photograph and Haiku.

Pre-made works will be registered in advance.
The works on site will be made and lodged on October 13
and the result will be announce on October 14.

All the modern digital bards are invited to our town
Suzaka. Hope to see you in October.

This is the last year’s grand-prix made by a person who is
working at a museum in Suzaka.

今朝信州各地でも気温が観測史上最低を
記録したところがたくさん出た様だ。
昨日借りたノーマルタイヤにチェーンを履かせたトラックを
返しに行こうと思ったら、雪と氷にはまってしまい
悪戦苦闘。

（須坂ではこんな程度）

それでも須坂の雪は少ない方だ。
昨日でかけた飯綱町は道路が完全に圧雪で、
通いなれた道も、初めて程に雪がたくさん積もって
いる。信州でこれでは、昨年お邪魔した山形は
さぞ大変だろうな。皆さんお元気ですか？
冬の間剪定など無理ですね。

長野は恵まれているとありがたく思わないと
いけないな。雪で大変でしょうと心配を頂いた
心優しい方々、ありがとうございます。
大丈夫です。我々も元気にやっています。
遠くシンガポールからもブドウ畑は大丈夫かと
電話が届きました。

さて、何時の間にかもう節分なんですね。

I heard that many observation points recorded
the lowest temperature in its history this morning
in Shinshu. I had hard time to get a rental truck out
of icy snow this morning although it had chain on
its driving wheels.

By saying so though, we had rather little snow
here in Suzaka in north of Shinshu area. I was surprised
to find so much snow yesterday in Iizuna area. The road I
used to go to the winery there was completely covered with
hard icy snow pressed by vehicle. As we have so much snow
in Shishu, there must be much more snow in Yamagata where
I visited last winter. How are you there ? Any vineyard operation
like pruning should not be possible in deep snow. I hope everybody
is fine.

So we must be lucky in Nagano. Anyway, I know there are many
people worrying about us and vines. Thank you very much for your
worrying. Yes we and our vines are fine. A friend of mine called me
all the way from Singapore. Thank you so much.

Time flies fast and it is the day of Setsubun when we pray for
our health by throwing beans by shouting “Demon Out! Luck Inside!”
